“Stigmatizing women with infertility in Africa is unfair” -H.E Mrs Rebecca Akufo-Addo.

H.E Mrs Rebecca Akufo-Addo has spoken about the injustice of stigmatizing women with infertility in Africa. She believes this unfair treatment aggravates the pain these women already go through, and it is time we work together to create a culture that supports these women and their partners in treating or coping with the condition.

She said this at the 9th edition of the Africa Asia Luminary in The United Arab Emirates, themed “Together We Make a Difference” hosted by The Mearck Foundation.

Merck Foundation has tremendously supported The Rebecca Foundation in improving literacy and empowering young girls. I thank them for being such a great partner.

The Africa Asian Luminary is a annual conference aimed at contributing to the socio-economic development of the two continents.
