2023 Scripps Spelling Bee Competition winners visit H.E Mrs Rebecca Akufo-Addo

It was my absolute pleasure to receive the winners of the 2023 Scripps Spelling Bee Competition, to our office.

For the second year running, N’Adom Darko – Asare, of DPS International was the overall winner. Mychelle Kumah, of Soul Clinic School in Accra, was the first runner-up, and Janice Afiba Nketsiah, of St. Francis of Assisi School in the Western Region, was the second runner-up.

The three girls shared with us their experiences leading to the finals of the competition.

Their stories showed the importance of hard work, dedication, commitment, and the support of one’s village to one’s success in life. Her Excellency, The First Lady took the opportunity to fulfill a promise she made to the winners.

We remain committed to helping young children develop the habit of reading through the Rebecca Foundation’s various educational programmes.

The Rebecca Foundation wishes them all the best as they represent Ghana in the Scripps Spelling Bee Championship in The United States.
